Diploma
The differences between a regent's, advanced regent's diploma and cte endorsement are the following. The regent's diploma is when a student passes all the regent's for each subject. However, an advanced regent's diploma is when a student passes all his regent's for each subject but takes 3 regent's for common core math, 2 regent's for science. The cte endorsement is when a student is approved in a cte program that must meet alternative credit and assessment requirements. Cte endorsements make us not take a LOTE exam but the student has to take different tests to fulfill the regent.
The cte endorsement benefits us personally because we are not entitled to take any LOTE exam. We do not have to choose between electives because the cte covers up those classes. We are getting college credits aside from our high school credits. We get to be first in line when we are getting our diploma's.
